Position Overview

Under direct supervision, the Radiation Therapist is responsible for administering radiation treatments to patients with the highest level of accuracy and care. This role requires precise alignment of radiation beams to the targeted tumor volume and accurate delivery of prescribed doses. The ideal candidate will uphold the standards of the US Oncology Compliance Program, including adherence to the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.


Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver and document radiation therapy treatments as prescribed by the Radiation Oncologist and under the guidance of the Chief Radiation Therapist.
  • Input and maintain accurate treatment parameters in the electronic medical record system.
  • Assist in training new therapists and students as needed.
  • Support scheduling and ensure accurate billing information is submitted.
  • Fabricate custom molds and cut blocks when applicable.
  • Perform basic monitor unit (MU) calculations.
  • Interpret computerized treatment plans with precision.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized treatment environment.

Qualifications

Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology program.
  • ARRT certification in Radiation Therapy required.
  • Valid state license to practice radiation therapy.
  • 0-3 years of experience as a practicing Radiation Therapist (entry-level candidates welcome).
Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to sit, use hands, and perform tasks requiring fine motor skills.
  • Occasional standing, walking, and reaching.
  • Ability to lift or move up to 30 pounds.
  • Normal vision and hearing (with or without correction) required.
Work Environment
  • Clinical office setting with regular interaction with patients, staff, and management.
