Overview

The Marketing Specialist II is responsible for creating and managing the production of the highest level of marketing campaigns. As a key member of the marketing team, manages monthly member communications and a variety of direct mail, electronic marketing and business development efforts.



Responsibilities

    Develops, implements and analyzes marketing campaigns in conjunction with the credit union's strategic objectives and marketing plan.
  • Manages loan pre-approval campaigns. Leads efforts of the credit union's agencies, printers and mail houses to ensure communications are accurate and timely.
  • Serves as the editor of member newsletters. Directs content, reviews copy with various department managers, and ensures timely production.
  • Oversees marketing aspects of monthly statement mailings, including statement message, statement ads, envelope messages, selective inserts, etc.
  • Is responsible for creation and distribution of branch posters, displays, etc.
  • Builds and maintains rapport and strong working relationships/partnerships with the Branch Sales and Service Managers, as well as the Community Relations Team utilizing a highly collaborative approach.
  • Travels to the branches to network with the Branch Sales Managers and Sales VPs. Acts as a conduit between our Branch Sales and Marketing departments relaying key insights and helping both teams work together.
  • Continuously identifies opportunities to improve the effectiveness of marketing efforts, including the message, medium, target and offer. Works with marketing team to maximize data available in the MCIF, track and communicate campaign results.
  • Develops and manages campaigns to build awareness and capture share of wallet from our member base and from the community. Positions LFCU in the best possible light with existing and prospective members.
  • Manages new member mailings working with Raddon and Matrix Manager each month; updates rates and disclosure on all six pieces. Reports on results quarterly. Works with Attribution Marketing Specialist to communicate results.
  • Updates and maintains the Inlighten system.
  • Responsible for regulatory compliance as it relates to advertising and delivery of products and services.
  • Maintains an awareness of developments and trends within the financial industry and laws and regulations as they relate to marketing and advertising.
  • Work within their team and have a direct impact on themselves and their direct processes.


Qualifications

Education

  • Min/Preferred: Preferred
  • Education Level: 4 Year / Bachelors Degree
  • Description: Bachelor's degree (B. A.) in marketing, public relations, or business management preferred

Experience

  • Minimum Years of Experience: 2
  • Preferred Years of Experience: 4
  • Comments: Minimum 2-4 years of experience in Financial and Marketing required. Experience supporting multiple branches is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Ability
  • Experience working with Raddon/MCIF, Synapys/CRM is preferred.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills, an understanding of marketing fundamentals, ability to review and analyze data and trends.
  • Must have demonstrated experience in building rapport and forging strong collaborative relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task accurately and timely in a deadline driven environment; ability to work both independently and in a team.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate to all levels of employees including senior management.
  • Use existing tools/processes to solve tasks/issues assigned to them.
