JOB DESCRIPTION

EMPLOYER: Delta Dental Insurance Company

TITLE: Senior Applications Analyst

Location: 1130 Sanctuary Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30009; Telecommuting permissible from any location within the US.

Salary: $129,147.00 - $170,900.00/yr

Job Description: Interprets business requirements to derive technical solution via systems analysis, design, and prototyping. Determines best business/technical solutions to meet client needs ensuring the ability to meet users' implementation time frames. Translates business requirements to functional specifications and mapping documents. Participating in all aspects of the Requirements discipline, such as estimating, meeting facilitation, change request management, issue tracking and Support End to End testing. Summarizing requirements and understanding the connection between requirements and business goals while anticipating system impact. Analyzing current processes to identify improvement opportunities and recommending system and process enhancements. Telecommuting permissible from any location within the US.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Proficiency in gathering and documenting business requirements, including the ability to translate complex business needs into clear and concise technical specifications using tools such as Microsoft Word and specialized management software like JIRA, Confluence, Microsoft Visio or draw.io;
  2. Analyze business processes and design technical solutions;
  3. Knowledge of end-to-end testing processes, including test case creation, execution, and issue tracking, to ensure that solutions meet user requirements;
  4. Data analytical skills, including the ability to work with databases such as: Oracle, SQL Server, or MySQL
  5. Technical tools and software, including Microsoft Office Suits and data visualization tools like Power BI and Tableau; and
  6. Project management methodologies such as Agile and Waterfall, and the ability to work effectively within these frameworks.


QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in Business Analyst or a related role. Alternatively, company will accept a Master's degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science, or related field and three (3) years of experience in Business Analyst or related role. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.

Base Pay Information

The national base pay range at the end is a good-faith estimate of what Delta Dental may pay for new hires. Actual pay may vary based on Delta Dental's assessment of the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities (KSAs), related experience, education, certifications and ability to meet required minimum job qualifications. Other factors impacting pay include prevailing wages in the work location and internal equity.

Pay Grade 21. $129,147 - $170,900
