Regional Director - Outpatient Clinics for Psychiatric & Substance Abuse Services (Kentucky and Indiana Markets)

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Regional Director of Outpatient Services to oversee our operations within the Kentucky and Indian region. This leadership role requires a strong background in behavioral health and program management, with a focus on developing and implementing effective programs for individuals with developmental and mental health disabilities. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional relationship management skills and a commitment to enhancing the quality of care provided by our organization.

Our behavioral health hospitals in Kentucky and Indiana (all affiliated with Universal Health Services) provide a broad continuum of outpatient mental health & substance abuse services for children, adolescents and adults. The outpatient clinics are located in various parts of Kentucky and Indiana. Our entire staff is trained in treatment models of social learning and positive reinforcement that promotes positive behaviors. Outpatient programs teach life skills and coping mechanisms intended to enrich patients' lives.

Outpatient treatment is provided by licensed clinical therapists, nurses, psychiatric technicians and financial counselors. Initial assessments are completely confidential and provided at no charge. All outpatient programs offer free breakfast, lunch and snacks for patients. We also provide transportation to our patients.

This position will require travel on the road (up to 75%) and on-site meetings at clinic locations.

Duties

  • Lead and manage regional operations, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and implement innovative programs that address the needs of individuals with developmental and mental disabilities.
  • Supervise and mentor staff, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages professional growth and development.
  • Oversee budgeting processes, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to meet program goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with community partners, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to enhance service delivery.
  • Conduct regular assessments of program effectiveness, marketing strategies, making necessary adjustments to improve outcomes.
  • Provide administrative support by maintaining accurate records and reports related to program activities.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's Degree - Business, Healthcare Administration or related field. Master's degree preferred.

Experience: 8 - 10 years' experience in business healthcare management. Leadership experience in psychiatric or behavioral health field preferred.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in behavioral health or social work, with a strong understanding of the challenges faced by individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability in program development and management, strategic planning, including experience in supervising staff.
  • Strong relationship management skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience in budgeting and financial oversight within a healthcare or social services setting.
  • Excellent administrative skills, including proficiency in data management and reporting.
