What You'll Accomplish - Your Performance Objectives

In your first 30 days, you will onboard and get to know the people, products and departments that make Medisolv run and you will:



  • Onboard with the data engineering team to understand workflows, tools, and team dynamics.
  • Review and familiarize yourself with the current Azure-based data infrastructure, including DataBricks, Data Factory, and SQL Server.
  • Understand the existing pipelines, data models, and key data sources.
  • Learn and support existing data products and data team responsibilities to ensure continuity and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Gain insights into our current reporting and visualization tools.


In your first 3 months, you will:



  • Develop, deploy, and optimize data pipelines in Azure to support scalable and reliable data processing.
  • Collaborate with the data acquisition team to implement data integration workflows using Azure Data Factory.
  • Create and maintain robust data models and ensure data quality across SQL Server and related platforms.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize current data architecture and processes.


In your first 6 months, you will:



  • Develop advanced reporting and visualization capabilities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure data solutions align with corporate goals and deliver meaningful insights to stakeholders.
  • Validate and improve performance metrics, and monitor the efficiency and accuracy of data pipelines.


In your first 12 months, you will:



  • Implement enhancements and new technologies to future-proof our data infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with product team to support advanced data-driven initiatives, including AI integrations.
  • Document and maintain best practices for data engineering processes, ensuring consistent and reliable operations.
  • Production support and rollout of existing products to new client organizations


What You Bring - Skills and Experience

Required Qualifications:



  • 7+ years of experience in data engineering, with a focus on building and maintaining scalable data pipelines.
  • Strong expertise in Data Bricks, Delta Tables, Unity Catalog and Spark.
  • Strong expertise in Azure technologies, including Azure Data Factory and SQL Server.
  • Expertise in Python.
  • Knowledge of Stored Procedures, Indexes, UDF's, Views, and Data warehousing best practices
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and optimize ETL/ELT workflows.


    Who We're Looking For - The Personal Competencies That Matter

    Technical Skills: Experience with Snowflake, data visualization platforms like Power BI and experience with AI/ML/Generative AI

    Domain Knowledge: You have worked in healthcare enough to understand how clinical and non-clinical data is used and stored in various EHRs and supporting systems.

    Knowledge In: You have an understanding of cloud-based analytics architectures and advanced data modeling techniques, knowing the differences between OLTP and OLAP, with an understanding of when each approach makes sense and you have knowledge of C# and/or React.

    Proactive Problem Solver: You're resourceful and excel at taking initiative to drive tasks from concept to completion.

    Collaborative Team Player: You thrive in cross-functional teams, building strong relationships across technical and non-technical stakeholders.

    Detail-Oriented Professional: You understand the importance of accuracy and reliability in data engineering and take pride in delivering high-quality results.
