Job Description

YOUR OPPORTUNITY

We have an exciting Inventory Control Specialist opportunity in our Guymon Processing Plant. In this highly impactful role, you will be a key member of the purchasing team. The Inventory Control Specialist will be responsible for maintaining, stocking, counting, verifying and organizing the mechanical supply inventory for a maintenance/engineering department of the processing facility and supporting a team of maintenance technicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Receives, stores, displays, and issues mechanical parts/PPE/supplies according to operational needs
  • Maintains inventory by restocking shelves with products from inventory, observing inventory levels, prompting management to reorder when levels appear low, and arranging for return and credit for damaged products.
  • Assists with monitoring and maintaining inventory levels of supplies
  • Ability to interact and maintain a positive rapport with a diverse workforce
  • Performs data entry, clerical tasks, and administrative paperwork to ensure the department maintains a high level of accountability for inventory
  • Inspects, checks and verifies incoming supplies are in good condition and meet quality specifications
  • Communicates effectively and collaborates with department leadership to ensure the position provides a high level of customer service
  • Adheres to all Company food and workplace safety policies to safeguard the workplace and welling being of all employees
  • Performs Cycle Counts to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Reports any inventory stockouts to the Supervisor for immediate review and resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required:



  • Minimum high school diploma or GED. Some college or vocational courses preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, English required, bi-lingual a plus.


Preferred:



  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite, advance Excel skills or similar application and MRP system

  • The hours and days of work are established by departmental needs and at the discretion of management.
