WORK SHIFT DAY (United States of America)SUMMARY OF DUTIES Leave of Absence Intake process owner, ensures compliance with company policies and legal requirements, facilitating effective communication between employees and management, and maintaining accurate leave records.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED * Manage the intake of all various types of leave of absence requests, including but not limited to, medical leave, maternity/paternity leave, and personal leave. * Ensure all leave activities are in compliance with company policies and legal standards. * Responsible for the intake process including but not limited to the following: * Explains the Leave of Absence process. * Obtains/corrects/updates all information to open a leave case. * Determines and sends all eligibility notifications. * Employee Assistance: * Provide support and guidance to employees regarding leave policies and procedures. * Address employee queries and concerns regarding leave entitlements and processes. * Documentation and Record Keeping: * Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all leave applications, approvals, and ongoing leave cases * Ensure confidentiality of employee information. * Coordination with Payroll: * Work closely with the payroll team to ensure accurate and timely processing of leave-related pay adjustments. * Reporting: Prepare regular reports on leave statistics for management review. * Confirm and communicate the return-to-work process for employees returning from extended FMLA, workers compensation, or other leave(s). * Collaboration: Collaborate with the manager, and other HR team members on cross-functional initiatives. * Performs other duties, as required. SUMMARY OF MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS * Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. * 2 years of experience in HR or a related field. * Knowledge of HR practices and labor laws related to employee leave. * Strong organizational and administrative skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. * Proficient in Kronos, Workday, and Microsoft Office Suite. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Exposure to disability/leave of absence claims preferred. * Bi-lingual English-Spanish would be preferred. COMPETENCIES * Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy. * Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially. * Proactive, empathetic, and customer-focused approach. * Ability to work effectively in a team environment. * Strong problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
