Position Summary
The Product Manager will define and develop the long-term strategic direction of products and services assigned centering around Engineering Services. The primary responsibility of this position is to define new product needs, design and manage product and engineering services roadmap and propose additional feature sets and service offerings to meet customers' needs to maintain customer value and product market share. These efforts are not bound to new technologies only but also include the advancement of the existing products and services portfolio. WORK LOCATION AND TRAVEL:
- Role provides the opportunity to work in hybrid environment, working both virtually and in office when required.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
Duties And Responsibilities
ESSENTIAL:
- Gain a deep understanding of customer experience, identify and fill product and service gaps and generate new ideas that increase market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.
- Develop and maintain an understanding of product, engineering services, market, and competition strengths and weaknesses.
- Once the commercial value has been established, work with cross-functional teams within the New Product Development, Engineering Services and Project Management groups to determine the effort and risk required to execute the development.
- Translate product and Engineering Services strategy into functional specifications including detailed requirements and use cases.
- Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
- Work with other groups as needed to identify viable opportunities for new technologies that align with business needs.
- Create and manage Product and Engineering Services Roadmap that defines near and long-term technology goals while continuously managing expectations with all relevant stakeholders.
- Assess opportunities for strategic partnerships.
- Identify and define alternative technologies and growth opportunities.
- Close coordination with all Oceaneering product development teams to provide overlapping and wider reaching innovative solutions.
- Provide execution plans for new technology development efforts which include risk-based CTR (cost-time-resources) definitions.
- Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on company products and services.
- Provide an interface between products and services offerings and Sales initiatives.
- Manage new technology development projects with responsibility for ensuring deliverables are understood and delivered on time.
- Work with corporate marketing teams to manage and implement marketing activities through strategic planning and implementation.
ADDITIONAL:
- Responsible for reporting the execution status of development projects.
- Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding.
- Serve as in-house expert for product or service and go-to person for all functional issues.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
REQUIRED:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, technology, or business-related field or equivalent education and experience.
- Minimum ten years' experience in integrity management services[SJ1] .
- Proven ability to understand complex business problems, adjust priorities as needed, exhibit strong upward communication and meet deadlines.
- Experience in Technical writing (Proposals, Data Sheets, Presentations, Digital Campaigns)
- Exceptional communication, presentation, analytical and leadership skills.
- Must hold/maintain a valid passport and be able to obtain visas for international travel. Exposure to international markets.
DESIRED:
- Master's degree in engineering, technology, or business-related field.
- Experience with customer-facing marketing, communications, and negotiations.

Additional Information
This position is Hybrid - Remote and will require commuting to a designated office. Hybrid work schedules are determined by the hiring manager based on business need.
