DESCRIPTION OF WORK

In this vital position, you will deliver secretarial and clerical assistance to the Director of the Internal Operations Bureau, as well as provide timekeeping support for both internal and external operations offices. Your role will involve leading office activities, and executing complex clerical tasks while ensuring exceptional customer service. You will support meetings by taking and transcribing minutes, as well as distributing them accordingly. Effective communication will be facilitated through answering and screening calls, transferring inquiries to the appropriate personnel, and addressing others based on your expertise or that of bureau staff. Additionally, you will manage the Bureau Director's calendar, coordinating appointments, meetings, and virtual conferences, while also arranging travel for the director and staff. You will operate the Crisis Management System and draft responses to Right to Know requests, as well as coordinate Bureau updates for the Agency Website with the Webmaster. Your contributions will be vital in improving the understanding of Emergency Management and the functions of PEMA. Interested in learning more? - Full-time employment
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- In the event of an emergency/disaster situation or training exercise, this position may be required to travel, work up to 12-hour shifts, and work outside of the normal work hours, including weekends and overnights.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Clerical Assistant 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration);or
- One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
