Position Description Under the direction of the General Manager, this position is charged with the responsibility of all aspects of a multi-shift heat exchanger coating facility ensuring team member Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) to achieve or exceed budget. Key Responsibilities This position has the responsibility to provide leadership to seven or more subordinate staff who oversee 50+ employees. Under the direction of the General Manager, this position is charged with the responsibility of all aspects of a multi-shift heat exchanger coating facility ensuring team member Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC) to achieve or exceed budget. This position has the responsibility to provide leadership to seven or more subordinate staff who oversee 50+ employees. This position's mandate is to: Manage financial performance Manage all plant operations with emphasis on safety, quality, delivery and cost Ensure operations of plant and office personnel meet customer quality and delivery standards Ensure the plant complies with regulatory, safety, and environmental requirements Promote and continually develop a positive culture and environment for the team Develops a culture of continuous improvement utilizing 80/20 data as the lens and LEAN manufacturing tools as the improvement methodology. The incumbent is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of all plant operating departments. He/she carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company policy and applicable laws. Duties include leading daily continuous improvement activities, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Required Education & Qualifications Bachelors in Science or Engineering is required. A master's degree in science, MS or MBA, or equivalent is a plus. 4-5 years of experience in a similar role Demonstrated Operational leadership experience, preferably in the coatings industry with knowledge of industry standards for quality, safety, operations, maintenance, regulatory, compliance, community and governmental relations. Excellent communicator and leadership skills. Bilingual: English-Spanish a plus. Demonstrated capability to manage non-union environment, with emphasis of staff development and motivation. Military service a plus. ISO 9001 experience is a plus. Why Choose Modine?
