Position Title: Software Developer (TS/SCI required)

Location: Washington, DC

Clearance: TS/SCI

Position Summary:

Command Cyber Solutions is seeking a talented and motivated Software Developer to join our growing development team. The Software Developer will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and maintaining software applications that support mission-critical business operations. This role requires a strong foundation in modern programming languages, software engineering principles, and collaborative development practices. The Software Developer will contribute to full-stack development projects, work closely with cross-functional teams, and play a key role in delivering scalable and secure solutions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain web-based, desktop, and/or cloud-native software applications.

  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that follows industry best practices and coding standards.

  • Collaborate with product owners, designers, and QA teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • Participate in software development lifecycle activities including requirements gathering, design implementation, testing, deployment, and maintenance.

  • Develop APIs, integrate with third-party services, and implement secure authentication/authorization mechanisms.

  • Troubleshoot and debug application issues across multiple environments.

  • Perform unit, integration, and system testing and assist in performance tuning.

  • Contribute to Agile/Scrum development cycles, including sprint planning, daily standups, and retrospectives.

  • Maintain and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support automated testing, builds, and deployments.

  • Stay current with emerging technologies, frameworks, and development tools.

Education, Certification & Experience Requirements

Education Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems or related field.

Certification Required:

  • Security+ (Required)

  • Certified Scrum Developer (CSD), AWS Developer Associate, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (Preferred).

Experience Required:

  • 5+ years of experience in software development (full-stack, backend, or frontend).

  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, C#, or Go.

  • Experience with frameworks and libraries such as React, Angular, Node.js, Spring Boot, or Django.

  • Familiarity with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB).

  • Understanding of RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes).

  • Experience with version control systems such as Git and collaborative development tools (e.g., GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).

  • Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and DevSecOps practices.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Knowledge of software engineering methodologies, data structures, and design patterns.

  • Knowledge of secure coding practices and compliance with software assurance frameworks.

  • Skill in building, testing, and deploying applications in Agile/DevOps environments.

  • Skill in debugging, optimizing code, and resolving technical issues across the stack.

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to work in collaborative, cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with stakeholders.

  • Ability to adapt to shifting priorities and learn new technologies as needed.
