Responsibilities:

This position is responsible for operating Cryovac machine for cooked product packaging.

Set up equipment for production. Make necessary changes and or adjustments according to specifications. Ensure package seal markings and seal settings are correctly applied according to specifications. Perform routine checks. Inform Team Lead/Supervisor of any situations or changes as they arise. Continuous standing in one location for long periods. Able to understand and follow oral and written instruction from supervisors and designated staff. Carrying, lifting, lowering, pushing and pulling of heavy and/or awkwardobjects or loads. Lifting and lowering of objects up to 60 lbs. Pushing orpulling of heavy roller carts, bins, or transport containers. Must obtain LOTO certification. Maintain cleanliness of work area. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Proficient reading, legible writing, and mathematical skills.
• Ability to accept change and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Established record of excellent attendance and safety.
• Follow all plant safety regulations and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Self-starter and self-directed is needed.
• Must wear a good upper leather boot.
• Must be mechanically inclined
• Frequent static and/or awkward work postures with neck and spine flexion while grasping, pinching, pulling, lifting, extending, flexing the hands and arms to perform tasks. A variety of arm and hand movements are required in applying force, movement and repetition.
• Working in cold environments 20-45 deg. F, hot environment 80-110 deg. F
• Wearing, using and maintaining personal protective equipment.
