Description The Director of Ambulatory Services reports directly to the Executive Director, Ambulatory Services and collaborates in the development and execution of the Ambulatory Services strategic and operational roadmap. The Director manages the challenge of fast-paced organizational change impacting all aspects of Ambulatory Services, using best practice methodologies to ensure the delivery of the highest level of innovative, safe and effective health care. The Director is responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the Sheikh Zayed campus Ambulatory specialty clinics, collaborating with executive leaders to develop and deliver top-tier outcomes for key performance measures that support access, growth, quality and efficiency. The Director ensures that operational and process improvements are in alignment with the organization's strategic and financial framework, overseeing and reporting progress while offering course corrections to ensure outcomes are achieved.
Qualifications

Minimum Education
Master's Degree Preferred education discipline in healthcare, business or nursing management. (Required)

Minimum Work Experience
5 years * 5-7 years of recent healthcare administration and/or change management experience.
* Data management experience, proficient to expert use of excel
* Experienced in Lean-based transformation and other performance improvement methods.
* Experience with major change initiatives.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Functional Accountabilities
Organizational Performance



  • Works effectively with Hospital leadership and team members to innovate, communicate and implement novel ambulatory processes and best practices in keeping with the strategic plan, mission and core values of CNH.


  • Works closely with key stakeholders from Centers of Excellence and support divisions to ensure a seamless delivery of service across the care continuum by leveraging improvements in operational workflows, communication, information technology, EHR design and performance management.


Strategic Change Management



  • Identifies new improvement opportunities and manages all aspects of transformative changes in the ambulatory setting within his or her scope.


  • Drawing on pertinent literature, business and healthcare benchmarking resources as well as personal experience, identifies opportunities for improvement and develops innovative solutions.


  • Utilizes data and in collaboration with Ambulatory Leadership, defines new metrics to drive improvement in ambulatory performance.


  • Establishes expectations and implementation strategy for new information systems in the ambulatory space to facilitate efficiency, safety and productivity.


  • Maintains membership in National collaboratives and associations appropriate for the Operational and transformational work needed in the Ambulatory Space.


Operational Oversight



  • In collaboration with the Executive Director of Ambulatory Services and other members of the leadership team, directs the daily operations of ambulatory specialty locations at the Sheikh Zayed campus.


  • Directly oversees and is accountable for the Sheikh Zayed managerial team, including budget development and administration, staff management, patient and family experience, team engagement and retention, and operational improvements including capacity management, space utilization, patient throughput, and access to clinical services.


  • Sets and clearly communicates team goals and priorities in alignment with division goals and budgets; provides the resources and guidance required for leaders and teams to perform effectively.
