We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Software Engineer (P3) to join our dynamic team focused on scientific computing solutions. This role is ideal for engineers with a strong background in C# or C++, and experience developing on .NET/Windows platforms. You will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of software used in scientific and technical domains.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain software applications using C# or C++ on the .NET/Windows platform.
  • Collaborate with scientists and engineers to translate complex computational requirements into robust software solutions.
  • Optimize code for performance and scalability in scientific computing environments.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Contribute to UI/UX design and implementation where applicable.
  • Document software designs, processes, and usage for internal and external stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3-6 years of professional experience in software development.
  • Proficiency in C# or C++ with strong knowledge of the .NET framework and Windows development.
  • Experience in scientific computing or working with computationally intensive applications.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have):

  • Experience with High-Performance Computing (HPC) environments.
  • Familiarity with UI/UX design principles and tools.
  • Exposure to parallel computing, GPU programming, or distributed systems.

Hybrid Work:This position offers flexibility and will require at least three days in the office.

Minimum Qualifications

Doctorate (Academic) Degree and 0 years related work experience; Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 3 years; Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 5 years

Base Pay Range: $130,400.00 - $221,700.00 Primary Location: USA-CA-Milpitas-KLA KLA's total rewards package for employees may also include participation in performance incentive programs and eligibility for additional benefits including but not limited to: medical, dental, vision, life, and other voluntary benefits, 401(K) including company matching, employee stock purchase program (ESPP), student debt assistance, tuition reimbursement program, development and career growth opportunities and programs, financial planning benefits, wellness benefits including an employee assistance program (EAP), paid time off and paid company holidays, and family care and bonding leave.

Interns are eligible for some of the benefits listed. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location.
