Position Summary

Motion Designers at MBCS are equal parts animator and visual designer-translating strategy and storytelling into bold, high-impact visuals. This hybrid role blends motion design with brand and campaign development, supporting both production and pitch work across formats. The ideal candidate brings a strong design foundation, a sharp eye for motion, and the ability to work fluidly across teams and mediums.


Responsibilities

  • Design and animate motion graphics, video assets, and animated typography across social, digital, and branded content formats.
  • Develop static and animated assets for decks, campaigns, brand identities, and key visuals across multiple channels.
  • Collaborate with Art Directors, Copywriters, and Editors to translate concepts into compelling visual and motion executions.
  • Lead small-to-mid-sized design projects from concept to completion, balancing motion and static needs.
  • Support creative pitch work with bold, original visual storytelling-both static and animated.
  • Work with project managers and producers to manage timelines and deliverables across formats.
  • Build brand templates and systems that can scale across campaigns or teams.
  • Apply feedback constructively, contributing to a collaborative, solutions-focused creative environment.
  • Report to the Design Group Lead or Creative Director.



Desired Skills & Experience

  • 3-4 years of experience in a creative agency, design studio, or in-house brand environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Motion Design, Graphic Design, Fine Arts
  • Strong portfolio showcasing excellence in both motion and static design-demonstrating a clear eye for layout, typography, storytelling, and animation.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and working knowledge of Premiere Pro.
  • Familiarity with Figma for collaborative design workflows and layout building.
  • Experience with Cinema 4D, Blender, or other 3D tools is a plus.
  • Comfortable juggling multiple projects and formats with precision and creativity.
  • Self-starter with a team-first mentality and a passion for elevating ideas through design.

The salary range for this position is posted below.
