The Opportunity

As a Senior User Experience (UX) Engagement & Operations Manager, you orchestrate and optimize how business partners, product managers, design team members, and engineering teams build products that improve usability and business value for Adobe employees and partners.

Drive UX engagement with the business

You'll participate in design and delivery leadership meetings to align on business priorities and help the UX team innovate where it adds the most value.

  • Manage a pipeline of UX engagements from intake through delivery and plan appropriate resourcing.
  • Coordinate and ensure appropriate communication of UX status, issues, forecasts, and metrics to leadership, business, and program and product management.
  • Advocate for design thinking in planning, scheduling, requirements gathering, design reviews, delivery and implementation to launch.
  • Participate in and facilitate design reviews and post-mortems for key initiatives.
  • Drive ongoing improvements to program management to accommodate design thinking in project and portfolio-level planning.
Drive operations of UX team

Lead the UX Center of Excellence strategy by identifying team needs and improving researcher and designer efficiency.

  • Standardize and mature how we prioritize, schedule and resource projects and facilitate review with business and UX Leadership.
  • Manage a diverse team of design professionals specializing in various design fields, emphasizing professional growth.
  • Increase the operational efficiency and scale of the UX team's work.
  • Assist with implementing the strategic and tactical prioritization of design initiatives and workflows, specifically the implementation of process improvements.
  • Act as a link between UX, Engineering, and Product Management (PM) teams, connecting all three groups and making sure interdependencies are understood and planned for.
  • Facilitate the creation of complex design solutions by participating in defining the business and design requirements and assigning resources.
  • Participate in the development or improvement of design processes, procedures, standards and guidelines.
  • Shape, implement and document processes to streamline projects and elevate the quality of design work.
  • Assist in design staffing and allocation on product initiatives, and partner with design leadership to plan, prioritize, and present work to the company.
Skills
  • 5+ years project/program management experience in design consultancy or in-house UX team.
  • Experience in prioritising new work, maintaining work momentum, and launching digital solutions on deadlines in a large corporate environment
  • Advanced understanding of user experience design principles.
  • Advanced facilitation, negotiation and consensus building skills.
  • Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of experience in digital design
Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $104,300 -- $219,800 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
