Maintenance Technician - Kemps Minneapolis

Starting Wage: $35.00/hour

Schedule: Overnight, 10 hour shift, rotating schedule

Kemps, LLC has openings for Maintenance Mechanics, responsible for the maintenance and repairs for all property and production assets within the plant. This position ensures the continued operation of machinery and equipment in an electrical, mechanical, refrigeration, pneumatic and hydraulic capacity by completing planned and unplanned maintenance on production, packaging, processing equipment and utility systems.

REQUIREMENTS:



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Maintenance AAS, or Program Certificate in lieu of education
  • 1+ years related experience preferred in a manufacturing facility including: electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electronic, computer-controlled equipment, PLC and/or HVAC
  • Knowledge of various equipment including lubricating, cleaning, material handling, motor, relay, and process control and packaging equipment
  • Working knowledge of all phases of electric power, 480-240-120 and the lower voltage control wiring
  • 1st Class B Boiler License preferred and/or willingness to obtain with company assistance.
  • Requires proficiency in adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing with whole numbers, fractions, and decimals
  • Physical activity including standing, walking, bending, and kneeling is required for the majority of the shift
  • May be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Requires working in cold production environments with varying levels of noise. (hearing protection and uniform/cold weather provided)
  • May experience some exposure to fumes airborne particles, chemicals or allergens
