Cisco Security Advanced Services provides full life cycle services for Cisco's top customers through delivery of advisory, integration, and managed services. Complementing the strongest portfolio of security products, Cisco is in an outstanding position to deliver improved security outcomes for its customers. Integrated within Cisco's Advanced Services delivery model, Security Advanced Services seeks to solve the most critical challenges of our global customers through high-value services.

Security Consulting Engineers are tasked with offering security consulting to Cisco clients. They handle initial and ongoing services, assisting customers in the design, documentation, implementation, and operation of Cisco Security Solutions. They identify emerging customer requirements and communicate them to Security Architects, Business Development Managers, and Account Teams. Additionally, they prioritize and lead project workshops and training sessions to ensure customers improve the value of Cisco Security Solutions.

Senior Security Consulting Engineers are tasked to provide technical mentorship to other SCEs on the team and to support Security Architects and Account Team on positioning new services offerings to Cisco customers.

Lastly, Security Consulting Engineers are expected to continuously engage in learning to become experts in various security and non-security technologies, enabling them to deliver exceptional architectures, designs, and solution deployments.

Your Impact

  • Lead and report on security engagements at key Cisco customers.
  • Deliver security solutions independently and through team leadership.
  • Design and deploy Cisco Security Solutions.
  • Provide continuous support to maximize customer value from solutions.
  • Offer deep technical expertise on Cisco security technologies.
  • Evaluate and influence alternative design outcomes.
  • Troubleshoot and recover customers from technical/security issues.
  • Collaborate globally within Cisco's security practice.
  • Support the creation and adherence to best practices and frameworks.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 3-5 yrs extensive practical experience with Cisco Secure Firewall/ASA, ISE, and AnyConnect VPNs.
  • 3 yrs experience in designing, implementing, and operating network security solutions.
  • 3 yrs familiarity with various infrastructure technologies like routing, switching, voice, wireless, SDA, and SD-WAN.
  • 3 yrs of secure design principles such as confidentiality and scalability.
  • Ability to create automation artifacts using frameworks, languages, and Cisco APIs.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth understanding of TCP/IP protocols.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree.
  • CCNA and CCNP Security certifications required.
  • Preferred certifications: CCIE Security and Cloud Certifications.
  • Desired experience with Cisco Visibility Platforms, Secure Endpoints, Threatgrid, Umbrella, and other security technologies.
  • Strong Firewall Architecture Experience
  • Extensive Firewall Migration Experience
