Job Description

Summary

U.S. manufacturer of specialized electronic connectors including high-voltage interconnects, aerospace connectors, underwater connectors, high current connectors, and multi-pin cable assemblies has an opening in Toledo, OH for a Quality Assurance Technician. This position inspects and measures components and finished products to determine compliance with engineering and/or customer requirements.

Responsibilities and Duties



  • Participate in audits of processes to identify areas for improvement and ensure compliance.
  • Inspect primary and secondary process components to ensure compliance with standards.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of inspections, tests, and findings.
  • Participate in maintenance of AS 9100/ISO 9001.
  • Review gauging and inspection systems.
  • Execute CMM measurement and provide first article data/reports.
  • Perform start up inspections utilizing the first and last piece process.
  • Acquire data through non-destructive or destructive testing on various components for root cause analysis and/or continuous improvement.
  • Maintain tool and test fixture calibration program.

Requirements

Qualifications & Skills



  • 2 years college or technical school or 2 years equivalent experience.
  • Able to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Experience with AS 9100/ISO 9001 requirements preferred.
  • Knowledge of quality control methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • CMM operations and reporting preferred.
  • Strong manual dexterity required.
  • Above average attention to detail, well organized, and consistency a must.
  • Able to sit or stand for long periods of time doing repetitive tasks.
  • Must lift and move objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Proficient in MS Office.
  • Strong problem solving, math, and written communication skills a must.
