Job Overview & Essential Functions

Murphy-Hoffman Company, LLC is North America's largest Kenworth truck dealership group and leasing group. As MHC continues to grow, we have an opening for a Manager, Product Management.This position is responsible for overseeing technology product strategy and management, with the goal of enabling user experiences that maximize business value. This includes direct supervision of business
analysts with product responsibility, as well as maintaining technology product development and management standards and best practices throughout all phases of the application life cycle. Thisposition will collaborate with key business executives and stakeholders, Business Analysts, Quality Analysts, Project Managers, and Technical Services staff to ensure effective design, development, andimplementation of quality software product solutions and quick resolution of software product issues. Thisposition is also responsible for product lifecycle management and establishing and maintaining keyproduct performance indicators to enable business value growth, using those indicators to continuouslyoptimize performance.

  • Apply skills and knowledge of best practices to guide team on issues related to the design,development, and deployment of mission-critical technology products and solutions.
  • Be the bridge between business viability, customer usability, and technology feasibly to ensure thatproduct development projects meet or exceed product vision, business requirements and goals, andend-user requirements. Bring cross functional groups together on a day-to-day basis and driveexcitement to be part of a common mission to bring to life and launch innovative products.
  • Lead others as they gather information on the competitive landscape, regulatory environment,industry trends, and technologies that may have an impact on existing business value andcontinuously seek opportunities for future features and products.
  • Provide coaching and guidance to a team of Product Managers and Business Analysts. Setperformance plans and objectives that recognize talent and provide honest, direct feedback in atimely manner.
  • Support the application development team with technical design requirements, developmentestimates, development resource allocation, and project status information for product developmentand management projects.
  • Participate in evaluation and integration of new technologies and methods to enhance the capabilitiesof technology solutions and development processes.
  • Communicate comprehensive solution strategy, plans, and roadmaps.
  • Develop and implement company-wide rollout strategies, working with all departments to executecommunication and change plans.
  • Champion our company platforms and products, defining the why and the what, to create aremarkable experience for end users.
  • Performs otherduties as assigned by supervisor
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in the analysis, design, construction, and implementation of majorsoftware development and/or product management projects.
  • Three years of proven experience managing teams of Product Managers and/or Business Analysts inproducing high quality, complex software applications/products.
  • Extensive experience with product management tools and methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities in a teamenvironment as part of a project team tasked with designing, building, and implementing new and/ormodified software applications.
