The Bank of New York Mellon seeks a Director, Product Management for its New York, NY location. DUTIES: Coordinate a range of products from development to sales and delivery. Support the development of departmental priorities. Allocate resources to support the achievement of business objectives and ensure alignment with the annual plan. Develop ideas for new online banking products and generates buy-in from the business to integrate into pipeline. Provide functional insight to support the solution of complex, operational and organizational problems and consider to be an expert in the field. Oversee strategy design behind product development and delivery. Plan study of work problems and procedures, including organizational change, communications, information flow, integrated production methods, inventory control, and cost analysis. Gather and organize information on problems or procedures. Analyze data gathered and develop solutions or alternative methods. Document findings of study and prepare recommendations for implementation of new systems, procedures, or organizational changes. Confer with personnel to ensure successful functioning of newly implemented systems or procedures. Ensure strategies align with departmental priorities and annual plan. Leverage strong market knowledge and user behavior to integrate the demands of various regions and stay ahead of competitors. Interact directly with key leaders across the business and external customers to negotiate and market BNY Mellon's offerings. Demonstrate in-depth and comprehensive knowledge of team's capabilities and an understanding of all products, the marketplace and client needs to drive product growth/development and maximize profitability. Act as a firm expert on multiple products and product portfolios that are of strategic importance to the firm. Provide oversight around the development of product management roadmaps and ensures alignment with organization functional business plans. Support and fund projects and products. Responsible for revenue goals, profitability, and pricing for all products along with capital and operating budgets. Prepare manuals in use of new forms, reports, procedures or equipment, according to organizational policy. Design, evaluate, recommend, and approve changes of forms and reports. Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite. REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree, or foreign equivalent, in Economics, Engineering (Any), Mathematics, or a related field, and twelve (12) years of experience in the job offered or in a related occupation in the financial services industry. Twelve (12) years of experience must include: Defining and driving product related strategies to build best in class Digital solutions for corporate and institutional clients by leveraging retail and consumer banking digital product delivery model and client-first approach; Detailing trade-offs from new products and utilizing a quantitative approach to determine trade-off and benefits when developing products; Acting as a mediator between consumers and technical teams, communicating user needs and translating them into requirements for new product features; Utilizing Agile methodologies to ensure delivery in timely fashion, ensure agile ceremonies are followed, requirements are defined, and to quarterback all stages of the product development lifecycle; and Developing product collaterals, client online demo, and commercialization plans to support go-to market strategy. The employer will accept three years of university-level studies plus two years of experience in meeting the Bachelor's degree requirement. Salary Range: $242,300.00 to $273,000.00 /yr. The Bank of New York Mellon assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary/range for this position is expected to be $242,300.00 to $273,000.00 per year at the commencement of employment. Base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of The Bank of New York Mellon total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs. This position is at-will, and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, change in geographic location, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors. |
