We are seeking an Access Control Officer (Admin Assistant) to join our Security and Electronic Systems (SES) business Unit. As part of (SES) Strategic Business Unit you will be part of a team that designs, engineers, integrates, operates and maintains electronic security services inclusive of intrusion detection, access control, biometric authentication, video surveillance, audio visual, it systems, perimeter defense and command and control systems for federal, local and commercial customers across high-growth markets.


Responsibilities

The Access Control Office is a customer-facing position responsible for issuing badges and providing support services at designated facilities in accordance with established security procedures. This role plays a critical part in maintaining a secure and welcoming environment for all personnel and visitors.

Operating in a fast-paced setting, the Access Control Office works collaboratively as part of a team to ensure efficient and accurate processing of access credentials. The position requires a high level of attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining a professional demeanor.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and assisting employees, contractors, and visitors with badge issuance and access-related inquiries.
  • Verifying identification and authorization in compliance with security protocols.
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of access control activities.
  • Collaborating with security and facilities teams to resolve access issues promptly.
  • Work and collaborate with helpdesk and badge office teams
  • Support customers in person, via phone and email communications

Qualifications

Clearance/Citizen Type: Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S. Citizenship, for access to classified information; ACTIVE TS/SCI w/ POLYGRAPH Clearance is REQUIRED

  • Minimum of high school diploma with two years of experience, or combination of equivalent experience and training.
  • Experience in professional writing, editing, and document production required.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under stress, despite numerous interruptions.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and resolve practical problems.
  • Must be an effective leader with excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to deal effectively and tactfully with a wide variety of individuals in person, via telephone and in writing.
  • Must have strong multitasking skills.
  • Must have strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, and interaction with customer portals and advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite.
  • Experience authoring responses to statements of work, staffing plans, past performance sections, management plans, and executive summaries.
