Job Summary

Under general supervision, the Business and Operations Analyst 2 provides accounting, analytical and operational support for the Parking and Transportation Services Department. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, general accounting, posting general ledger activity for month-end close, monthly auditing and reconciliations, basic accounting-related research, workflow documentation, and project assistance.

This position supports departmental nancial operations by processing nancial transactions such as the creation and modication of purchase orders and requisitions, invoice payment processing, credit reconciliations, cash audits and travel expense reimbursements. Under direction, the Business and Operations Analyst 2 maintains a variety of Excel trackers, worksheets and other informational resources, at the direction and for parking leadership. This position also provides professional-level administrative support, under minimal supervision, and developing business cases for a wide range of initiatives to support department leadership and provides recommendations to apply across the Health Campus. Creates specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and required/ available data elements. Optimizes the performance of enterprise business intelligence tools by defining data to filter and index that add value to the user. #CA-SB

Minimum Qualifications - For full consideration, applicants are encouraged to upload license and/or certification if required of the position

  • Bachelor's degree business administration, economics, statistics, educational administration, political science, or an allied field or equivalent experience/training.
  • Several years of experience in administrative analysis or operations research.
  • Experience in business management, accounting principles and practices, and enterprise or internal services fund accounting.
  • Experience with developing complex budgets, establishing internal controls financial analysis, forecasting and strategic planning to analyze and compile fleet data and reports.
  • Experience analyzing workflow and designing efficient business processes to continually review and recommend best practices.
  • Experience with database management systems to retrieve and analyze information to form detailed and comprehensive reports and dashboards.
  • Computer experience to use spreadsheets, word-processing, e-mail/calendaring and navigation software, and other standard office equipment.
  • Independent judgment skills to determine the type of quantitative data needed for analyses and to develop recommendations based on the analysis.
  • Strong writing and communication skills to prepare and present documents, reports, proposals for management and correspondence with various internal/external constituencies.
  • Administrative and analytical expertise to support PATS Management business and financial decisions for sustainability planning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively interact with individuals of varying backgrounds.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications in Parking operations such as CPP or CAPP.
  • Experience in Parking or Transportation industries.
  • Experience interpreting, applying and communicating campus accounting policy and procedures to provide advice for management and exchange information.
  • Experience with University systems (M5, Tririga, Kuali, MyAggie)
  • Experience working with all areas of parking, transportation and fleet services.
  • Knowledge of Parking Access Revenue Control Systems.
  • Organizational and time management skills to effectively prioritize workload, handle multiple tasks, meeting multiple deadlines with frequent interruptions.
  • Skill to work independently and as part of a team to support management for decision-making and long range planning.

* Fleet Services: Manages a diverse fleet of vehicles used for patient transport, medical supply deliveries, Maintenance and repair services and employee travel. Ensures fleet vehicles are well-maintained, safe, and environmentally compliant, incorporating sustainable practices.

* Transportation Services: Operates shuttle services that facilitate connections between various medical center facilities and nearby offsite locations, enhancing accessibility and convenience for patients and visitors. Implement programs and promoting eco-friendly practices, the department encourages the use of public transit, biking, and carpooling to reduce the carbon footprint and alleviate parking congestion.

* Technology Integration: Leverages advanced technologies to enhance customer experience, including mobile applications for real-time parking availability and shuttle tracking. Incorporates digital payment systems for seamless transactions to improve user experience and efficiency.

* Safety and Security: Prioritizes the safety and security of all users in parking and transportation areas through surveillance, regular security patrolling, and well-lit facilities.

* Sustainability Initiatives: Promotes initiatives aimed at reducing the carbon footprint through the Green Commuter programs, electric vehicle adoption, alternative fuel options, and sustainable transport programs.

Work Environment
