Job Overview:

Join our dynamic Power Tools and Lifting division where innovation meets excellence. As a pivotal member of our Technical Services team, the Technical Training and Knowledge Manager produces and delivers high-impact technical training content across Power Tools and Lifting product lines. In addition to instructional design, the role requires strong content creation skills using modern digital tools to build polished and professional training assets-videos, presentations, eLearning modules, and more. The Training Manager will work closely with product support teams and occasionally external partners to accelerate development and continuously improve our training and knowledge systems.

Responsibilities:

Instructional Design & Content Development


  • Design, build, and maintain high-impact training content including eLearning modules using Articulate Rise and Storyline, presentations, job aids, and videos.

  • Apply sound instructional design principles for blended learning approaches (live, virtual, self-paced).



Knowledge Management


  • Contribute to an intuitive, user-friendly knowledge environment to reduce staff overhead and improve content discoverability.

  • Regularly update knowledge base articles, support documentation, and troubleshooting guides with input from Product Support Engineers.



Training Delivery & Virtual Events


  • Deliver training live (in-person and virtual) and asynchronously.

  • Host and manage livestream training sessions via Zoom, Vimeo, or YouTube, ensuring quality and engagement.

  • Lead or support event logistics, including feedback collection, prize giveaways, and promotional follow-ups.



Collaboration & Product Support


  • Participate in New Product Development to prepare aftermarket training and support materials.

  • Collaborate with product teams to identify key training needs and gather insights.

  • Provide technical product support as needed, including hands-on work and field training.



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.

  • 5-8 years in technical training or support within a mechanical/electromechanical industry.



Proficiency in


  • Articulate Rise and Storyline

  • Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere, Photoshop, etc.)

  • Microsoft Office Suite

  • Video editing and production tools



Experience with


  • Zoom/YouTube/Vimeo streaming platforms

  • Managing knowledge bases or LMS platforms

  • Survey analysis and reporting

  • Strong understanding of adult learning theory, blended learning, and virtual instruction.

  • Managing or contributing to media asset libraries, voiceover scripts, and branding alignment across training formats.

  • Demonstrated ability to take technical content and turn it into polished, audience-ready multimedia training.

  • Hands-on experience producing training content using Adobe Creative Cloud (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop).



Core Competencies:


  • Geographic Focus: Primarily supports internal and external stakeholders in the Americas, with occasional global coordination.

  • Training Impact: Delivers training for internal teams, distributors, and customers-driving competency across product applications, service procedures, and support strategies.

  • Knowledge Environment Ownership: Oversees and contributes to the structure and usability of the Help Center, LMS, and internal knowledge portals, ensuring training and documentation remain current and accessible.

  • Tooling and Equipment Responsibility: Manages assets used for training, including demo tools and video/streaming equipment, valued at approximately $200,000 USD.



Preferences:


  • Fluency in Spanish, Portuguese, or French

  • Familiarity with SCORM/xAPI content deployment

  • Exposure to Zendesk, SharePoint, or similar platforms

  • Experience running community-based programs or user events



Travel and Work Arrangements


  • This position is based in Hampton, NJ and is a hybrid role

  • Travel Requirement: Up to 20% travel, including site visits for training, product launches, and collaboration with partners and field teams.
