Overview:

SRMH Multi-Specialty Clinic in Harrisonburg, VA is looking to hire a dedicated and motivated Assistant Practice Manager to join our on-site leadership team supporting a dynamic multi-specialty clinic, which includes Gastroenterology, Neurology, and Nephrology service lines. This full-time role is Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, and is based on-site.

The-Assistant Practice Manager assumes responsibility, leadership, and accountability for daily operations. Coordinate work monitoring for quality of service. Support employees with solutions for everyday operational needs. Manage multiple projects and performs work assignments as needed.

As the Assistant Practice Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of the clinic and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. You will work closely with the Practice Manager, providers, and staff to coordinate clinic functions and promote efficient, team-oriented workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in overseeing day-to-day clinic operations, including front desk, clinical, and support staff workflows
  • Supervise and support staff scheduling, timekeeping, and bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Collaborate with the Practice Manager on staffing coverage plans, performance management, and team development.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and support initiatives to improve patient access, service delivery, and staff engagement.
  • Participate in operational problem-solving and process improvement efforts across all service lines.
  • Serve as a resource to staff and providers to help troubleshoot operational issues in real time.

Education:

  • High School Diploma

Experience:

  • 3 years of Clerical experience
  • Previous Management experience required.
