 Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist to join our team. In this position, you are responsible for providing clinical patient services and support within the location.  Assumes on-call responsibilities for phone consultations during non-business hours as outlined by Rotech's policyConducts patient assessment per Rotech's policy and procedure and the physician's orderMaintains a complete listing of all current respiratory patientsMaintains documentation of all services provided and all work performedMonitors ongoing function of highly technical respiratory equipmentPatient assessmentsProvides in-home visits to patientsProvides initial and ongoing phone contacts with all respiratory patientsProvides patient education as applicableSets up all highly technical respiratory equipmentSupports orientation and training of other personnel at the direction of the ManagerIn some locations, we need RTs to be on call and drive a company vehicleAbility to work cooperatively with othersDeal politely with patients and referral sourcesManage several tasks at oncePerforms other duties as assigned Travel 
 Some travel via automobile required to patient's home and meetings Qualifications
 
 
 Employment is contingent on

 High school diploma or GED equivalent, requiredCredentials as a respiratory therapist, Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) is preferred but other medical credentials may be acceptable (e.g., RN, LPN, LPV) depending upon state licensure lawsMust be licensed in primary state of home office as required by state law and provide a copy of license to the locationMay be required to obtain license in neighboring states as required by service area of location Preferred Education and/or Experience 
 Completion of an accredited program/degree in respiratory care preferredNursing or other paramedical training may be acceptable depending upon state licensure lawsHome respiratory care experience is preferredDegree in respiratory therapy or related science is preferredOne year of related work experience, preferred Skills and Competencies
