McKesson is currently seeking an Inventory Manager in our Shepherdsville, KY Distribution Center.

Inventory Manager- Position Description:

Schedule: Monday-Friday; 8 AM start time; hours/days will vary per business needs

Inventory / Asset Management / Regulatory

  • Oversees daily cycle counts and reconciles counts to perpetual levels by use of the AcuMax and SAP systems
  • Oversee local inventory control teams on investigation status of large balance discrepancies where cycle counts have identified variances.
  • Works closely with the Finance department on resolving inventory variance issues by reconciling all inventory transactions to current cycle counts as well as investigating transportation-related discrepancies
  • Works closely with Customer Service department and external clients to research customer-claimed discrepancies through cycle count verification and audit of all inventory transactions.
  • Oversees managing DC service level performance. Partnering with purchasing departments to ensure adequate stock of items to optimize customer buying experience.
  • Collaborate with Operations and Facilities departments
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements to optimize customer order quality and minimize inventory risk.
  • Ensure inventory compliance and applicable regulatory controls align with established SOP's
  • Serve as contact for internal and external audits

Planning, Slotting, and Warehouse Supply Management

  • Oversees warehouse supply levels to ensure that essential supplies remain at par level and support operational supply needs
  • Oversees DC Slotting strategy to ensure that products are slotted to ensure quality outcomes and minimize risk while fostering productive workflow
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • 4 year degree preferred
  • 2 years inventory management experience preferred
  • 5 years supervisory/management experience

Critical Skills

  • Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access
  • Leadership skills including coaching and developing teams and fostering engagement and collaboration
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

This is determined by several factors, including performance, experience and skills, equity, regular job market evaluations, and geographical markets. The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. Our Base Pay Range for this position

$60,800 - $101,400
