Precision Wanted: Quality Technician Needed for High-Impact Night Shift Role!

Hours & Pay

Pay Rate: $17.35 per hour

Schedule: Tuesday - Friday, 6:00 PM - 4:30 AM

Employment Type: Temp-to-Hire

Overtime: Available and expected based on production needs

Key Responsibilities



  • Inspect and test welded automotive components at various production stages to ensure reliability and adherence to quality standards
  • Interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications to determine inspection criteria
  • Collect and analyze test data using basic statistical quality control tools such as SPC and MSA/GR&R
  • Prepare reports that highlight trends, deviations, and areas for process improvement
  • Conduct daily audits of production weld cells, dock audits, and LPAs according to the quality plan
  • Manage scrap processing through trans4M and maintain records for quarantined materials
  • Assist in prototype builds, gauge R&R studies, and safe launch checklists
  • Support training efforts for production associates on quality standards and practices
  • Serve as a line-side quality technician when needed

Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Quality Technician role or equivalent
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, inspection methods, and manufacturing processes
  • Comfortable working in an active, production environment with regular standing, walking, lifting (up to 35 lbs), and equipment interaction
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office; familiarity with data entry and reporting software is a plus
  • Strong verbal communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
