TGM Technician will commute to the assigned Medical Center(s) handling distribution and inventory of Airgas cylinders on customer site premises. The TGM Service Technician builds client relationships by fulfilling the customer's medical gas needs, while maintaining a safe work environment that doesn't impede on the clients' customers.
Perform scheduled rounds to maintain par levels at all locations within the facility. Pickup and return empty cylinders to storage area(s) to insure return to production facility. Monitor and receive cylinder gas deliveries to insure accurate delivery documentation. Change out gas/liquid cylinder manifolds at the service sites. Comply with all applicable facility guidelines and procedures. And all applicable Airgas Standards and regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to: SAFECOR, HS&E, JCAHO, CGMP, OSHA, etc Complete assigned tasks as per existing procedure. Make initial evaluations and then obtain proper assistance when confronted with problem situations. Respond to emergency situations to ensure uninterrupted supply of product. Conduct cylinder audits at specified intervals. Provide inventory usage reports to the hospital. Consults with customers regarding cylinder gas inventory par levels. Adjusts inventory levels to accommodate customers seasonal demands Place and process orders through the AirGas.com/SAP system. Document cylinder gas inventory usages using either Google forms or Google sheets. Ensure the separation of empties from full and in use cylinders. Rotate all non-specialty gases products, target every 30 days. Participate with the accounts payable department to ensure accurate billing and timely payment. Accountable for the safety of all persons, and the general public surrounding facilities. Safety is a condition of continued employment. Actively participate with the local safety department to ensure hospital personnel properly handle and store medical gas products. Submit any Good Catch incidents to the Airgas manager/customer immediately.

Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Ability to understand gas measurement, pressure regulation, and protection regulations. Demonstrated knowledge of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills. Self-starter; self-motivated; operates with a sense of urgency; ability to work independently and under pressure to meet deadlines. Demonstrated planning skills and outstanding personal relationship skills. Demonstrates a clear and effective speaking manner for the purpose of explaining information to customers and employees. Strong problem-solver, with a high level of attention to detail. Comfortable interacting with a wide variety of people with different personalities and backgrounds within Airgas and outside the Company. Must have reliable transportation.
Required Education:
Required Length & Type of Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in product distribution or inventory management. Must have a valid US Driver's License. Experience with welding and safety products or related industrial products a plus Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair and service technical equipment Tie workflow to schedule

Moderate to frequent local travel (75% of work time). Requires both indoor & outdoor environments in various seasonal weather conditions. Job requires visitation to various Airgas and customer sites, which have varying environments/conditions, layouts, and accessibility. Environment may contain loud noises and/or odors that may last for an extended period of time or on a continual basis. Hearing protection must be worn in designated areas. Fully enclosed shoes or safety shoes must be worn at all times. Safety glasses must be worn in designated areas. Must use other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required. Annual Immunizations such as TB screening, MMR, Hepatitis, Flu Shot and other standard immunizations are client requirements
The hourly base pay range for this position in California is $25-$26/hr. Please note that the hourly base pay information is a general guideline only.
