Minimum Qualifications Summary


Certification & Education



  • High school education required
  • Bachelor degree preferred
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Be able to drive Government-owned trucks, forklifts and vans. No CDL license required
  • Must be able to provide proof of completed NAVY PQS/JQR (PQS/JQR cover sheet or NSIPS qualification page) or equivalent factory-based certification for the following qualifications:

    • MK25 UBA Maintenance Technician
    • Navy Dive School certification (NEC 5341/M1DV or higher Navy dive certification)
    • Mistral diving regulator
    • DLSS Re-Entry Control (REC) Supervisor
    • Oxygen clean system worker.
    • Material Maintenance Management (3M) Maintenance Man
    • 3M QA Craftsman
    • 3M Work Center Supervisor





Experience Required



  • Possess 10 years' experience working with installation level maintenance programs and systems that relate to maintenance capability and capacity




Job Objective:
The primary objective of this task order is to provide maintenance support on NSW approved diving equipment to supplement the NSWCEN and NSWBTC workforces and help it achieve continued effective operations and sustain adequate logistics support. Conduct preventative and corrective maintenance as mandated by OPNAV Instruction 4790 and as scheduled in 3M for 3,000 items including MISTRAL diving regulators and ancillary equipment; MK25 UBAs and ancillary equipment; SCUBA regulators and ancillary equipment; recompression chambers; air compressors, air and O2 charging systems; diving diagnostic test equipment and tools; SEATEC, ZEAGLE, FROG and AIGER buoyancy compensators; depth gauges; pressure gauges; underwater communications equipment and Diving Life Support System (DLSS) associated equipment. Must be available to travel in CONUS. Personnel will be required to perform such tasks as the following:
Responsibilities


  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on MISTRAL diving regulators, MK25 UBA, SCUBA regulators, tanks and ancillary air diving equipment, recompression chamber, O2 charging system, air charging system and support diving equipment.
  • Overhaul and setting proper limits for up to 200 MISTRAL diving regulators, 200 MK25 UBAs, and 10 SCUBA regulators.
  • Visually inspect interior, exterior, and ensure proper hydrostatic testing of high-pressure air cylinders, as well as overhaul of cylinder manifolds and valves.
  • Maintain DLSS equipment IAW US Navy Dive Manual and ensure proper functionality of all flotation devices and their emergency activation systems.
  • Perform maintenance documentation on MISTRAL diving regulators, MK25 UBA, SCUBA regulators, tanks and ancillary air diving equipment, Recompression chamber, O2 charging system, air charging system, SEATEC, ZEAGLE, FROG and AIGER buoyancy compensators and support diving equipment for PMS SKED computer program.
  • Conduct and maintain inventory of repair parts and project needs.
  • Conduct and document equipment issue and equipment turn-in with students.
  • Conduct and maintain inventories of diving equipment, after each class.
  • Conduct a monthly inventory of all diving life support equipment and provide appropriate documentation to COR and Diving Maintenance Manager.


Education & Certification
