The Cyto-Genetics and BioChem Laboratory at OU Health strives to provide the most accurate, complete and easily accessible services to its patients. For this position, the ideal candidate will have molecular biology experience (including but not limited to nucleic acid extraction, PCR and next-generation sequencing). General Description: Under close supervision, performs routine standardized clinical diagnostic tests in a clinical laboratory. Essential Responsibilities: Responsibilities listed in this section are core to the position. Inability to perform these responsibilities with or without an accommodation may result in disqualification from the position.
Minimum Qualifications (Level 1): Education: Bachelor's degree in medical technology, clinical/medical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science required. Preferred graduate from an accredited Cytogenetics training program. Experience: 1-3 years of experience required in a cytogenetics or genetics lab. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s) Required: Must become CG(ASCP) certified within nine (9) months of hire/eligibility. Minimum Qualifications (Level 2): Education: Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical/medical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science required. Preferred graduate from an accredited Cytogenetics training program. Experience: 3-5 years of experience required in a cytogenetics or genetics lab required. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s): CG(ASCP)certification required. Minimum Qualifications (Level 3): Education: Bachelor's Degree in medical technology, clinical/medical laboratory science, chemical, physical or biological science. Preferred graduate from an accredited Cytogenetics training program required. Experience: 5 or more years of experience in a cytogenetics or genetics lab required. License(s)/Certification(s)/Registration(s): CG(ASCP) certificationrequired. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
