Job Summary Overview Senior training instructor for Comanche Peak Nuclear Training Department. Job Description Key Roles & Responsibilities Develop, maintain, coordinate and conduct Fire Brigade Training Control/evaluate fire drills as assigned Develop, maintain, coordinate and conduct First Responder Training Conduct/evaluate fire responder drills as assigned Support the Emergency Response Organization Support in-processing/on-boarding and training of incoming utility and supplemental personnel (proctor in the CBT lab, conduct fire extinguisher and fall protection training) Support Refueling Outages as assigned Maintain training program documentation consistent with nuclear industry training requirements Participate in training related self-assessments and re-accreditation of station training programs. Develop and implement resolutions to routine nuclear training program corrective actions and improvement items Develop, maintain, coordinate and conduct non-accredited training as assigned Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements High School Diploma or GED with 6 years instructional or applicable department experience Strong work ethic focused on timely completion of assigned work, procedure compliance, and leadership Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills Trained in Fire Fighting/Rescue strategies Texas Commission on Fire Protection Fire Instructor 2; or, Texas State Firemen and Fire Marshals Association Instructor; or, Must certify to meet one of the above two bulleted items within 1 year of being hired.
