Job Description:

Pluralsight is seeking a Senior Director of Demand Generation to lead B2B marketing strategy and execution, partnering with regional sales teams to drive pipeline and revenue growth. This role will define and implement demand gen strategies for our enterprise B2B business, overseeing awareness, pipeline generation, and revenue acceleration.

Reporting to the VP of B2B Marketing, the ideal candidate has extensive demand generation experience, thrives in a data-driven environment, and is skilled in scaling lead generation programs using modern AI technologies!

What you'll do:

Strategic Leadership & Vision:

  • Translate the overall B2B marketing growth strategy into a comprehensive, global multi-channel demand generation strategy, driving pipeline contribution and conversion goals. You'll ensure close collaboration with sales leadership to align with overall company revenue objectives.

  • Define and manage a quarterly demand generation plan with key programs, outlining both internal initiatives and external third-party opportunities.

  • Continuously identify opportunities to leverage AI and automation to increase campaign effectiveness, scale personalization, optimize decision-making, and streamline operations across all demand generation efforts.

Program Ownership: Paid Media & Events:

  • Paid Media Leadership: Oversee the strategy, planning, and optimization of all B2B paid media channels (e.g., Google Ads, LinkedIn, display, programmatic advertising, retargeting). This role will oversee B2B paid media with agency strategic and hands-on support, driving performance efficiency and maximizing ROI.

  • Events Marketing: Strategically plan, execute, and measure the impact of our global events portfolio, including industry trade shows, proprietary field events, executive programs, webinars, and virtual experiences, ensuring strong lead capture and engagement.

  • Design, implement, and optimize integrated multi-channel campaigns (including paid media, webinars, advertising, etc.) tailored to specific market segments, ensuring messaging and offers resonate with high-value personas.

  • Bring programs, campaigns, and messaging to life across all digital channels, resonating with our target audience.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Optimization:

  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM) Excellence: Champion and implement robust ABM strategies that target key enterprise accounts and C-suite decision-makers. Partner closely with Sales and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) to personalize outreach, drive account engagement, and accelerate deal cycles

Measurement & Market Intelligence:

  • Establish and maintain a metrics-driven approach to measure campaign effectiveness, ROI, and pipeline contribution.

  • Track performance metrics and manage the budget on a daily/weekly basis, iterating quickly to optimize, proactively detect, and course correct immediately. Provide regular, data-driven insights and reports on campaign performance, pipeline contribution, and ROI to the VP of B2B Marketing and other relevant stakeholders.

  • Stay current with B2B marketing best practices, industry trends, competitor activities, and new technologies, particularly emerging opportunities to harness AI for better efficiency and performance within the technology skill development sector.

Team Leadership & Development:

  • Build, lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing and often distributed team of demand generation professionals, serving as a player/coach who actively participates in campaign creation, optimization, and analysis.

  • Foster a data-driven culture and learning environment that encourages continuous improvement in program quality and speed of execution.

  • Optimize processes to drive efficiency and productivity, maintaining return on investment balanced against revenue and booking targets.

Experience you'll bring:

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in B2B demand generation marketing, with at least 5-7 years in a leadership role, specifically within a B2B SaaS or enterprise software company (experience in technology skill development/training solutions highly preferred).

  • 7+ years as a people manager, with a proven track record of recruiting, training, developing, and motivating high-performing, often distributed teams, including managing creative and collaborative agencies.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing demand generation strategies that consistently drive significant pipeline and revenue growth across segments and sales motions (self-serve and sales-assisted).

  • Deep expertise in paid media strategy and execution, with proven experience overseeing B2B paid media programs with agency strategic and hands-on support.

  • Extensive experience in planning and executing successful B2B events, from large industry conferences to targeted field events and webinars.

  • Proven experience designing, implementing, and scaling ABM programs, working closely with Sales and SDR teams.

  • Strong analytical capabilities with expert-level proficiency in marketing analytics and ROI measurement, including a thorough understanding of marketing funnel metrics (e.g., CTA, lead-to-opportunity conversion, customer acquisition cost).

  • Strategic thinker with a data-driven mindset and a proven ability to translate complex data and insights into actionable strategies and drive measurable results.

  • Proficiency with marketing automation platforms and CRM systems, with a strong understanding of how to leverage them for demand generation.

  • Exceptional leadership, written and verbal communication, and cross-group collaboration and influence skills, with prior success aligning various departments on a common vision and achieving shared goals.

  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns simultaneously in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, demonstrating exceptional execution and prioritization skills.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA highly preferred.

  • B2B experience required. Experience with global brands and building integrated global demand generation functions is preferred.

  • Experience as a people manager

  • Has a curiosity for data and enjoys measuring results and uncovering trends.

The annual US base salary range for this role is $142,100- $ 197,300 USD. Pluralsight's pay ranges vary based on work location. Talent Acquisition can share more detail during the hiring process when applicable. Each candidate's compensation offer will be based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, geography, experience, skills, job duties, and business need, among other things. In addition to the base salary, this role may also be eligible for benefits and bonuses.
