We are seeking a Genetic Counselor for a unique opportunity within the Ophthalmology Department, offering a balanced role split evenly between clinical and research responsibilities. Clinically, the Genetic Counselor will focus on patients with inherited retinal diseases-guiding them through the genetic testing process and interpreting results-while also supporting individuals with isolated congenital eye conditions and syndromic disorders in collaboration with other Boston Children's Hospital departments. This work will primarily be based in Boston, with occasional patient meetings in Waltham. On the research side, the GCI will assist with genetic studies involving patients with eye movement disorders, many of whom also have retinal conditions. Responsibilities will include enrolling participants, communicating genetic findings, and supporting data analysis. Key Responsibilities
