10 months contract (could go longer)



Pay: $25-$37/HR


Supports the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the plant's Quality Management System (QMS). Ensures compliance with food safety (GFSI) and other industry standards, help manage audits, support the QC lab, drive corrective actions, and ensure readiness for certifications and inspections.

Key Responsibilities




  • Maintain an audit-ready Quality Management System (ISO 9001, GFSI certifications like BRC/SQF)
  • Support and document quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Assist with customer, regulatory, and certification audits
  • Help manage GMP/Food Safety Programs including HACCP, PCQI duties, mock recalls, inspections
  • Analyze quality metrics and support improvement initiatives
  • Backup support to Quality Control Lab as needed



Qualifications



  • 4+ years in quality or lab roles (food industry preferred)
  • PCQI certification; strong HACCP experience
  • Experience in audits and food safety certified environments
  • Bachelor's in Physical Sciences or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, 21 CFR 117 & 121, and IPEC GMP
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office; Minitab/SAP/LIMS preferred
  • Strong documentation, communication, and problem-solving skills
