Coordinates Northside Foundation special events and event sponsorships. Responsibilities involve planning and implementation of annual events and maintaining year-round communications with corporate vendors and physician groups to engage them in annual event sponsorships.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Problem-solves, anticipates potential issues, multi-tasks, manages logistics and coordination of multiple simultaneous events/programs.
  2. Designs, plans, and implements Foundation and Community Outreach/Patient Reunion Events to include (but not limited to): Golf Classic, Tennis Against Breast Cancer Events, Celebration of Lights, Baby Alumni Birthday Party, SeniorFest, Easter Eggstravaganza, Cancer Survivors Event, Bariatric Reunion, Parents Partnered for Preemies Reunion, Annual Employee Service Award Dinner, and Winter Cancer Survivor Event.
  3. Develops project budget to monitor expenses and revenue, selects venue, event theme, vendors, and speakers/entertainment, oversees event volunteers, logistics, catering needs and promotional/publicity materials (in conjunction with marketing department).
  4. Keeps abreast of new trends in special events and effective sponsorship strategies.
  5. Maintains year-round communications with event sponsors to encourage multi-event annual sponsorships and secure sponsorship funding for events. Effectively engages donors of all levels, recognizing their value and potential as stakeholders, meets with sponsors to educate them about Foundation events and the areas that their donation will benefit. Prepares sponsorship benefit packages.
  6. Acts as liaison to establish and maintain cooperative interdepartmental relationships throughout the hospital system.
  7. Maintains Raiser's Edge constituent database and existing relationships.
  8. Maintains relationships and funding requests for several Northside Hospital Partners-In-Education schools; identifies and responds to school needs, utilizing volunteer, wellness and financial resources.
  9. Develops event budgets and monitors expenses as necessary to prevent the overexpenditure of budgeted funds.
  10. Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee/patient/visitor injuryaccident to Manager.

REQUIRED:

  1. Five (5) years experience in event planning, marketing, public relations or community affairs.
  2. Demonstrated knowledge of event planning and securing of sponsorships for a non-profit.

PREFERRED:

  1. Bachelor's degree.
