Bay Cove pursues this mission by providing individualized and compassionate services to people facing the challenges associated with developmental disabilities, mental illness, substance use disorders, and homelessness at more than 175 program sites throughout Greater Boston and Southeastern Massachusetts. Job Summary: As a member of the multidisciplinary Developmental Services (DS) and Adult Community Clinical Services (ACCS) Integrated Team, the SNAP Collection Specialist is responsible for processing person served's Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) applications and working closely with the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) office to set up accounts. The SNAP specialist works closely with the Bay Cove Housing and Accounting Departments to handle inquiries, resolve payment issues, and work towards timely payment collection. This role involves maintaining accurate records, researching debt collection efforts, and potentially developing strategies to minimize debt collection issues. The SNAP Collection Specialist contributes to Bay Cove's mission by partnering with Persons to work towards personal goals in order to achieve greater independence and improved quality of life.
