The Program Manager will act as the primary coordinator of Kollmorgen activity by working with, among others, Sales, Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, and Legal to meet expectations of specific key customers. The person in this position is responsible for facilitating communication around projects among Kollmorgen functions and the customer as well as managing the terms and conditions of customer contracts.

Specific Responsibilities Include:

Along with those identified below, other duties may be assigned.

  • Interact with key customers and manage customer requirements including timing, specifications, and expectations for new projects on existing and new platforms.
  • Engage and coordinate activity among customer support, operations, engineering, product management, sales and legal departments as needed when pertaining to the program to drive customer satisfaction
  • Engage with customer support, operations and quality to track and identify root cause of quality and delivery issues, as necessary
  • Involves design team with customer when necessary. Insulates design team from unnecessary customer non-value-added work but does not over insulate from real time or actual VOC.
  • Reviews and negotiates contracts, terms and conditions as necessary
  • Manages contract terms and conditions with engineering, operations and other pertinent parties prior to submitting to/negotiating with the customer
  • Work with other AMC groups as part of cross-selling initiatives for key programs
  • Customer Focus - able to balance the needs of the business with those of the customer

Qualifications:

  • Education
  • Bachelor's Degree required, bachelor's degree in a technical field is a plus
  • Experience
  • Minimum 5 years prior experience managing high level programs or projects for key markets. A&D, medical, semi is a plus.
  • Experience working in aerospace and/or defense is preferred.
  • PMP Certification is a plus.
