Position Overview As a Benefits Specialist, you'll provide one-on-one support to individuals referred through the Division of Aging and Disability Services (DADS). You'll assist clients in navigating eligibility requirements, applying for benefits, and, when needed, guiding them through appeals processes-with the backing of attorney support. Key Responsibilities Educate and advise clients on local, state, and federal benefit programs Assist in completing applications and evaluating eligibility Support clients through administrative appeals Lead community outreach and educational efforts Collaborate with attorneys, county staff, and community partners Maintain accurate, confidential documentation Uphold the highest ethical and professional standards What You Bring to the Role Bachelor's degree in human services or a related field -OR- active RN license At least 1 year of experience working with older adults or individuals with disabilities (internships and volunteer experience count!) Familiarity with public benefits programs (a plus, but not required) Strong communication and organizational skills Cultural sensitivity and professionalism in diverse settings Proficiency with Microsoft Office Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Why Join PSG?
