COMPANY PROFILE:

AgTexas Farm Credit Services serves and supports approximately 2,600 member/borrowers in areas of lending, insurance sales, appraisal, and/or leasing. Eleven office locations can be found throughout the Association's 43-county trade territory, and the association has an average loan volume of approximately $2.85 billion, with total assets equaling $3.2 billion. The lending portfolio consists of cotton, livestock, dairy, feed grains, real estate, and ag-related business loans. Additionally, the association territory provides diversity in production and mortgage loans as well as commodities financed. Without strong financial backing farmers and ranchers will not survive, and people will not have food to eat or clothes to wear. AgTexas provides reliable credit and crop insurance to our member-owners, so they can feed and clothe the world.

POSITION:

The Consumer Loan Coordinator position is located in any AgTexas office, with preference in the central Texas market, depending upon experience. This position supports the consumer loan journey by obtaining, assessing and inputting required financial information to help determine loan viability and profitability. Works collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, owns the customer experience from application through closing and ensures the loan process runs smoothly and efficiently.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance or a related field or equivalent experience and three (3) or more years of experience in mortgage loan processing, loan support operations, title company, general accounting or banking. The ideal candidate will exhibit general knowledge in real estate lending or lien perfection and Ellie Mae Encompass. This position requires good oral and written communication, and correspondence skills. Must possess basic skill in Microsoft Office applications. as well as an ability to deliver excellent customer service. Must possess an NMLS number or obtain within 30 days of employment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:



  • Gathers and documents customer financial information and application details, in compliance with lending requirements and in coordination with internal stakeholders.
  • Develops and maintains strong internal and external working relationships by providing consistent high-quality service that is timely, thorough, accurate and responsive to the needs of different stakeholders.
  • Partners with internal team members to complete originations and servicing actions, resolve customer inquiries and ordering of collateral valuations.
  • Works closely with the Rural Home Lending team to understand customer goals, credit strengths and manage the sales pipeline.
  • Communicates recommended loan terms, conditions and collateral position consistent with the request and associated loan risks. Sets clear expectations with the customer.
  • Partners with the Rural Home Lending team to own the customer relationship, including managing changes and helping resell the deal, as appropriate.
  • Interprets and evaluates financial information; asks follow up questions to recommend the appropriate product or service.
  • Communicates credit decisions and options to customers in counter and denial situations.



WORKING RELATIONSHIPS:

Frequent interaction with customers, association departmental staff and management, and external lending partners' staff. Occasional interaction with Farm Credit Bank of Texas staff. Occasional interaction with area professionals including accountants, insurance representatives, title companies, and others who deal with the association in the normal course of business.
