Leading with our core values, we help companies across every industry blaze new trails and connect with customers in a whole new way. And, we empower you to be a Trailblazer, too - driving your performance and career growth, charting new paths, and improving the state of the world. If you believe in business as the greatest platform for change and in companies doing well and doing good, you've come to the right place.

At Salesforce, we make the tools that help people work more effectively and efficiently. Design and User Experience are at the center of all of it. We bring powerful visions to life with the latest technologies and the Salesforce platform. We put customers first, and we're looking for ambitious, self-motivated, creative-minded individuals who want to help shape our digital experience platform that allows businesses of all sizes and industries to create unique and engaging experiences for their customers across multiple touchpoints.

Salesforce is re-architecting the Platform at the center of our AI-powered Customer 360. We're seeking a Senior Product Design Director who can translate this technical revolution into transformative experiences for administrators, professional developers, and ISVs. You will own the end-to-end product design strategy for the Platform, shaping how tens of thousands of builders convert data and AI into business value every day.

The Salesforce Platform is the intelligent core of our ecosystem. It combines Trusted Services, modern Developer Tooling, and intuitive Admin Solutions to power the low-code, pro-code, and AI-augmented capabilities our customers rely on. This powerful mix lets Salesforce customers, partners, and developers quickly build, deploy, and scale highly specialized, AI-powered applications that drive unique business outcomes. Our customers depend on the platform to achieve value from Salesforce, transforming their data into a competitive advantage.

You'll lead a large, talented team of product designers, cultivating a culture of innovation, collaboration, and user-centricity with a strong focus on responsible AI design patterns for admins and developers. As a key advocate for user experience, you'll partner closely with product management, engineering, and executive leadership to define and deliver AI-powered experiences that set new industry standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Define and deliver the experience vision: Develop and articulate a compelling UX vision and strategy for the Salesforce Platform that unifies low-code, pro-code, and AI-powered workflows across the Customer 360, and socialize it with executives, partners, and Trailblazer community leaders.

  • Lead and grow an inclusive design organization. Manage and mentor design managers and ICs, build clear career paths, and foster a feedback-rich, psychologically safe culture that celebrates diverse perspectives.

  • Ship with excellence. With product and engineering, convert vision into iterative roadmaps; hold a high bar for craft and accessibility while delivering enterprise-scale, AI-first experiences for web and mobile.

  • Scale our design system. Govern patterns, tokens, and guidelines that power hundreds of surfaces, ensuring consistency, performance, and extensibility.

Required Skills/Experience:

  • Proven track record - 12+ years designing and shipping complex products; 7+ years leading multi-disciplinary design teams, including managers.

  • Platform & enterprise depth - Systems thinker comfortable with data/object models, multi-tenant SaaS architecture, AI/ML concepts, and developer tooling.

  • Design-system expertise - Demonstrated success scaling cross-product patterns, tokens, and guidelines for technical users

  • AI & data fluency - Experience using analytics, experimentation, and AI capabilities to inform and personalize product experiences.

  • Inclusive people manager - Passion for coaching diverse talent and building equitable, psychologically safe teams.

  • Tool proficiency - Figma ecosystem (components, variables); prototyping with native or third-party tools.

  • Portfolio - Evidence of shipped work that balances craft, strategy, and measurable business impact (link or PDF; password if needed)

  • Bachelor's or Master's in HCI, Design, CS, or equivalent experience.
