SUMMARY: The senior solutions architect will use their subject matter expert level expertise in network design, systems engineering, security, cloud and virtualization technologies to lead the design, development, and implementation of scalable, high-performance and highly available technology solutions for APGFCU's on-premise and cloud-based IT infrastructure. The senior solutions architect serves as the technical lead and mentor to the IT Infrastructure team. Possesses SME level technical knowledge and hand-on experience in a variety of on-premise and cloud infrastructure technologies, networking, and virtualization. ADDITIONAL: Responsible for completion of applicable training and compliance on federal regulations and APGFCU policies and procedures as related to the duties of this position (Bank Secrecy Act, Information Security as examples, if applicable). QUALIFICATIONS: EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or other related technical field. At least two or more industry certifications in technologies like Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, VDI, Citrix, Azure and AWS. Experience may be credited in lieu of education. EXPERIENCE: Ten plus years of work experience in an enterprise environment consisting of Microsoft servers, virtualization, Linux, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco routers, and switches required. Strong hands-on experience with Azure or AWS cloud and cloud migrations. SME level experience with network design, systems and network engineering, VPNs, IDS/IPS, SD-WAN, Palo Alto Firewalls, Virtualization, Microsoft technologies, SSO, Azure AD, SANs, vSphere, and VDI. Experience in financial industry or credit union environment preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:Subject matter expert in on-premise and cloud IT infrastructure technologies including networking, servers, storage, virtualization, virtual desktop solutions, and cyber security. Ability to perform architecture, migrations, build and deployment of systems, and applications in the cloud. Must have strong scripting abilities in PowerShell, Python or other scripting tools for automation and systems management. Strong leadership and mentoring skills to guide IT Infrastructure team and influence organizational change.
