Overview As the Head of Growth Engineering, Systems, and Operations, you will report to the CMO to build and scale the core systems that fuel our go-to-market success. These are high scale, mission-critical systems that include a combination of homegrown applications and third-party software across various marketing and sales stacks. We are looking for a leader to take our amazing team to the next level, deploying next-generation software that redefines our go-to-market strategies and helps us make critical business decisions using the most accurate data possible.
Responsibilities
- Oversee automation, data enrichment, experimentation, funnel optimization, and GTM software, with the core goal of scaling revenue and efficiency across our many growth channels.
- Lead and grow an amazing team of 20+ software engineers, growth/data engineers, web engineers, data scientists, analytics engineers, and marketing technology/operations experts. You will have directors and managers reporting to you to oversee Frontend, Backend, Data Science, Analytics, and Marketing Technology/Operations teams.
- Own evaluation, negotiations, and implementation of the marketing technology stack
- Own the growth systems roadmap, including project prioritization and architecture of next-generation solutions
Qualifications
- 4-year degree from a top university
- At least 10 years of engineering, data, marketing operations or similar experience
- Your teams have driven mission-critical user growth, revenue growth, or other related monetization initiatives
- You have a history of recruiting and managing high-caliber engineering talent, ideally with teams of 20 or more
- You have a strong software engineering background, ideally in data, business systems, or related areas
- You're comfortable reporting to and working very closely with both technical and non-technical C-level executives
- You expertly balance both technical responsibilities, being hands on as needed, as well as high-level people management responsibilities
- You're crafty/hacky and have a very strong first principles mentality
- You're a good communicator, both written and verbal
Nice to Have
- If you've worked with business systems like Hubspot or Marketo, Salesforce, or related middleware in the past.
- If you've tackled challenging data initiatives across cross-functional teams, both technical and non-technical.

Annual Pay Range At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs) Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
