Purpose of Position

Senior Software Test Automation Engineer - ERP and Packaged Applications authors tests, both automated and manual. Responsible for design, build, refactoring, and deployment of Test Automation for Packaged Applications.

Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Author automated tests (functional, non-functional) and implement effective test data management practices for ERP and other packaged applications
  • Design, implement, and maintain test data management practices and tooling
  • Effectively communicate requirements, use design patterns, and use modern development practices and consistently maintain Test Automation Frameworks.
  • As a Senior Engineer, develop and maintain strong team relationships primarily on the team assigned but also develop relationships with other teams with similar tech stacks.
  • Mentor & Coach less experienced Test Automation Engineers helping them to grow in their current role.
  • Contribute to best practices for the organization for Test Automation.
  • Contribute to recommendations for appropriate tools for organization's needs related to Test Automation.
  • Assist with the delivery of projects, collaborate with resource managers, and work with technical leads and dev-ops teams with their Test Automation releases.
  • Prioritize and manages own workload, issues, and risks.
  • Limited travel when required.
Minimum Education
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or equivalent industry experience.
Minimum Experience
  • 7+ years of experience leading Test Automation teams.
  • 7+ years of experience testing ERP applications (SAP) and Integrations.
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience working with object-oriented-languages (JavaScript strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of experience in a Scrum/XP software development role.
  • 5 + years of hands-on manual testing and validation of ERP applications.
  • 3+ in Mobile Application Automation testing (e.g., Appium).
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities
  • Proficient in the use of test automation eco-systems like (Tosca, Roadrunner/Loadrunner, etc) for ERP e.g., SAP and packaged applications e.g., Salesforce, PLM systems
  • Significant testing experience with at least one of these SAP Modules S&D, AP, FI, & CoPa as well as integration of with other systems
  • Proficient in test data generation and management
  • Humble, Servant Leader with excellent communication skills.
  • Experience driving transformational change in an emergent Agile culture
  • Experienced in Scrum Practices, could easily act as a scrum master and author user stories with GHERKIN with acceptance criteria
  • Secure coder familiar with common standards such as NIST SP 800-171
  • Has knowledge ot how to leverage static and dynamic code scanning results
  • General experience in Tech Stacks under management: xUnit, advanced Test Automation frameworks, Nodejs, Rest API's, Selenium, Cucumber, Appium, and .Net
  • Strong written and verbal communications skills

The employee may be required to stand, walk, and sit. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to view monitors, technical documents, and reference material. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
