Pavion and our family of companies are seeking a talented and motivated Network Engineer to join our integration business unit.
Primary Responsibilities:


  • Network Design and Implementation: Plan, design, and deploy network infrastructure including LANs, WANs, VPNs, firewalls, and wireless systems
  • Network Maintenance and Optimization: Monitor network performance, troubleshoot issues, and perform regular maintenance to ensure optimal operation
  • Security Management: Implement and maintain network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems (IDS/IPS), and access control policies
  • System Upgrades: Evaluate, recommend, and install network hardware/software upgrades
  • Documentation: Maintain detailed records of network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting processes
  • Collaboration and Support: Work with other IT teams (e.g., cybersecurity, server admins, helpdesk) and provide technical support when needed
  • Disaster Recovery Planning: Develop and test disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to network services



Basic Qualifications:



  • Associate degree plus relevant certifications and experience may be acceptable
  • 2-5+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise networking.
  • Experience with routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP)
  • Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies, VPN tunneling, and VoIP setups
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools (SolarWinds, Wireshark, Nagios)
  • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) / Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP)
  • CompTIA Network+
  • Juniper Networks Certification (JNCIA, JNCIP)
  • AWS Certified Advanced Networking (for cloud networking)
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, VLANs, ACLs, NAT/PAT.
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team
  • Good communication and documentation skills


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or a related field
