The Gist

THIS IS IT. YOU FOUND IT. Well, you did if LEGENDARY BEER + BRAND MARKETING + A LITTLE BIT OFFBEAT sounds like your thing. We are looking for someone who has a passion for marketing and is willing to roll their sleeves up and learn by doing to drive growth of the #1 West Coast IPA brand. The role is an exciting opportunity to support the development of the Lagunitas brand, helping the team to bring our unconventional brand to life. You will immerse yourself in the world of Craft Beer and LTD Edition innovations, diving into all elements of Brand Management along the way.

This role will have full participation in Brand Team activities, assisting in the development of key campaigns that align to the annual marketing plan. Supporting the Brand Director and Senior Brand Manager as well as wider team, you will also gain experience in campaign development from brief to execution on projects related, but not limited to, innovation, events and business reporting. You will be responsible for managing the execution of one of the most unique and sought-after areas of the portfolio, our Lagunitas LTOs (Limited Time Offers - yep, the special brews!) - in collaboration with key stakeholders in commercial marketing and sales. You'll also be able to flex your business acumen, delving into brand reporting and taking lead on team budget payments. A key aspect of the role will also be to act as brand visual identity and packaging guardian, with daily interactions across the business and agency partners to ensure our brand is being executed correctly at every touchpoint.

What You'll Do




  • Support in executing the annual brand plan, including a focus on execution of the Lagunitas LTO strategy.



  • Support Senior Brand Manager on reporting to the business on key insights and driving actions to ensure brand business delivery.



  • Become an expert on our Brand Visual Identity, ensuring consistency and quality in execution, as well as driving continuous improvement by leading packaging updates.



  • Manage day-to-day brand budget, including the processing and payment of pre-approved invoices and monthly reporting of the state of the budget, acting as liaison between Brand and Finance leads.



  • Support Events & Partnership Brand Manager with planning, logistics, and execution of select Brand Team and Agency events.



  • Gain, share, and leverage on-going understanding of the beer business, channels, retail trade.



  • Immerse yourself in understanding our consumers, their lifestyle and their most relevant cultural passion points (Music, entertainment, Pop Culture), and how that applies to driving our business.



  • Be the point of contact for any initiatives associated with our Brand Visual Identity,




What We're Lookin' For




  • 3+ years Brand Marketing or Customer Marketing experience.



  • Proven track record of project management experience and demonstrated business acumen.



  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or equivalent preferred.



  • Expertise on analytical tools and smart use of data.



  • Passion & energy for the Lagunitas brand & product portfolio



  • Love of dogs optional, tolerance of dogs required.





Key Relationships




  • Reports to Brand Director



  • Collaborates with brand team managers and cross functional marketing partners to ensure consistent execution across every platform.





Physical Requirements




  • Typical office environment (by Lagunitas standards)



  • Hybrid work policy: Required to be in the Petaluma office at least 3x per week (Tuesdays and Thursdays, with one additional day) in order to foster collaboration and serve as a culture carrier for the organization



  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds



  • Travel approximately 10% per year
