Position Summary
Sikich is seeking an experienced Project Manager/Scrum Master to join our growing Data & Analytics practice. In this role, you'll lead client engagements focused on technology modernization, including software development, lifecycle enhancements, cloud migration, and intelligent automation initiatives. Using our recent OSC Insurance Services engagement as an example, you'll guide organizations through transformative projects that enhance their operational capabilities through modern technology practices.
As a Project Manager/Scrum Master at Sikich, you'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement contemporary software development practices, database migrations, and AI-enabled workflows while ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. This position requires expertise in both traditional project management methodologies and agile frameworks to successfully navigate complex client environments
What will you do in this role?
- Coordinate and oversee key activities within client engagements focused on technology modernization, ensuring the implementation of modern software development practices.
- Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives
- Develop and manage detailed project plans, schedules, and budgets for multiple client workstreams
- Guide implementations of version control strategies and DevOps practices
- Oversee cloud migration initiatives and database platform transitions
- Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate communication between technical teams and business units
- Coordinate implementations of data management strategies including document management and analytics solutions
- Champion test-driven development and quality assurance processes with client teams
- Identify and help implement AI and automation opportunities within client organizations
- Provide thought leadership on modern project management and software development methodologies
What do you need to succeed in this role?
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Minimum 5+ years of professional project management experience
- Demonstrable experience managing hybrid projects using both traditional waterfall methodologies and Scrum/agile frameworks
- Experience leading cross-functional teams of 5+ members
- Track record of successfully delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget
- Experience with software development, lifecycle implementation and DevOps practices
- Background in managing technology transformation initiatives
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, JIRA, Asana)
- Strong knowledge of PMI's Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK)
- Experience with Scrum artifacts (product backlog, sprint backlog, burndown charts)
- Familiarity with agile project management tools and techniques
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Understanding of version control systems (Git) and branching strategies
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) and microservices architectures
- Active Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI)
- Current Scrum certification (Certified ScrumMaster, Professional Scrum Master, or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing industries
- Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and reporting solutions
- Familiarity with database migration strategies and document management systems
- Experience implementing artificial intelligence/machine learning solutions
- Understanding of change management principles and practices
- Background in leading modernization efforts for legacy systems

In compliance with this state's pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the base salary range for this role is $112,450. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, commission, and geographic location.
