Responsibilities
Activity Leader Responsibilities:
Assist the Director of Activities in planning and executing the activity program. Approach residents on assigned units to plan individual recreational and social activities; report resident response and cooperation to the Director of Activities. Prepare resident information for use in care planning and documentation; write progress notes as assigned. Develop and maintain good relationships with community resources to enhance the activities program. Maintain departmental inventory of equipment and supplies. Keep attendance records and prepare reports as required.
Qualifications
Activity Leader Qualifications:
Minimum 18 years of age required. High school diploma or equivalent required. Valid New York Driver's License with a clean driving record required. Ability to build positive relationships with staff, volunteers, families, and visitors. Ability to inspire and motivate others; create a warm and accepting environment for residents. Ability to adapt and modify activities to meet resident needs. Strong understanding of residents' rights and needs. Physical stamina required for constant activity.
