Department's Website: The manager collaborates with units across campus and the UREL video and design teams to produce a wide array of multimedia products and may develop a team of interns and ambassadors. The manager will also maintain the university's primary presence on Facebook, X, Instagram, LinkedIn and other relevant digital platforms while also listening across platforms to identify - and respond to - trends and emerging issues. This position ensures that social media channels, social media content and other digital communications are created, maintained, updated and measured/evaluated for effectiveness. This position serves as the university's subject-matter expert on social media strategy, storytelling and marketing and serves as a leader and advisor to all social media contributors across campus, hosting a quarterly social media manager meeting and participating in monthly communicator meetings to share trends, best practices, university strategy and professional development with campus contributors. This position is highly collaborative with the Integrated Communications team in support of the university's marketing, communications and public information goals. The manager will work to grow the university's social media team, as needed, to provide the highest level of service to the university and all of its units to meet these goals. Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job function of this job, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.
