Purpose and Scope

The Global Treasurer is a highly visible Financial leadership role within Tolmar, leading Treasury and Risk Management for a growing global Pharmaceutical company that operates in legal entities across three countries. The role is responsible for developing and maintaining policies and procedures relating to treasury activities; establishing and managing debt agreements and key external relationships, with key areas of focus including optimizing working capital;, short and long term cash forecasting and maximization, managing foreign exchange and interest rate risk, and insurable risk management. This role is also critical to the evaluation of business development deals, including the evaluation and recommendations on financing options to key Senior Leadership Team members. This position offers significant responsibility and broad exposure, including to the Board of Directors, and Senior management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities



  • Manage all treasury operations globally, with support of legal entity Finance teams as appropriate, including developing and implementing treasury policies and procedures, compliance, and internal controls
  • Plan and execute cash management and liquidity strategies within company policies to optimize cash and capital efficiency, maximizing returns across entities and currencies, taking into account risk, compliance, and internal controls
  • Develop long and short-range plans, including working capital, to meet corporate financial goals, assisting in establishing goals and strategies to enhance the growth and profitability of the company
  • Manage the company's relationships with commercial bankers, investment bankers, the investment community, and insurance brokers.
  • Oversee the attracting, arranging, and maintenance of debt as well as supporting strategies to meet the company's liquidity and equity needs.
  • Evaluation and interpretation of new and ongoing Debt agreements, including maintaining and reporting on covenant compliance (bank reporting and forecasting).
  • Formulate the appropriate strategies to take advantage of developments in the capital and investment markets and oversee the due diligence and implementation of all related activity.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with counterparts in the organization to ensure strong lines of communications and alignment on commitments to meet the company objectives
  • Actively participate as a Finance leader with strong engagement in helping to lead company / finance initiatives
  • Work closely with the CFO, VP Finance, and global finance function on financial planning, forecasting, operations, capital, covenant compliance analysis, tax planning, and making presentations to the Board of Directors, Senior Management, and external stakeholders.
  • Direct financial risk management for the company, including Global insurance programs, foreign exchange and interest rate risk.


  • Evaluate and recommend financing and deal structure strategies for any business development deals, including impact on bank covenant compliance, cash and working capital
  • Provide leadership over all Global Banking services, including corporate credit cards


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities



  • Operational Treasury leadership experience for a multinational organization, able to support growing company in continuous improvement of processes and outcomes; knows what good looks like and will drive Tolmar processes to achieve that level


  • Experience in leading financing arrangements and managing bank debt agreements, including evaluating and supporting covenant establishment and compliance
  • Demonstrated strong communication skills (written and verbal) with ability to communicate at all levels within an organization, and external partners


  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, including proficiency in financial statement analysis and valuation modeling (proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a must)
  • Influential leadership ability, without necessarily direct oversight, and will be member of the Finance Leadership team


  • Ability to quickly develop trust and influence business partners
  • Results-driven and detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy
  • Team player with a positive attitude and intellectual curiosity to learn new things
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, communicate expectations, and adhere to deadlines while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Willingness and ability to "roll-up the sleeves" and dive into details to create solutions to problems
  • Desire to stretch beyond Treasury role once comfortable to engage on valuable company projects
  • Risk Management / Insurance management experience a plus
  • Healthcare experience a plus
  • Must maintain confidentiality at all times, as this position requires a high level of responsibility regarding confidential information

Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting/Finance or related business field (MBA, CFA, or CTP preferred).
  • 10 or more years of experience with growth in responsibilities within Treasury roles


Working Conditions



  • Working conditions are normal for an office environment


Compensation and Benefits



  • Pay: $150,000 to $200,000, depending on experience
